Where is Clayton?

During my time working for Fourth Mate Productions, on Pirates of the Caribbean, I met lots of very cool and interesting people. One of those unique individuals was Jessica A. Nelson. She seemed to be an outside-of-the-box gal, which was my motivation to become acquaintances. One day on Oahu, while riding in a passenger van to set, Jessica and I did an iPod swap. This was my introduction to a realm of music of which I previously hadn't been aware.
Fortunately this enlightenment wasn’t a one time deal, as I asked Jessica to make me a compilation of some of the artists to which she had exposed me. It wasn’t long before she passed on to me a three CD set with samplings from this brand new musical world. Quite enjoyable, indeed. Upon my new friend’s request, I have been working on a multiple CD mix of my own that will, perhaps, come close to reciprocating the enjoyment she sent my way. Four weeks in the making, I thought my towering achievement, or lack there of, should be shared. So posted here, for all to enjoy, is a list of the tracks I felt were share-worthy. (I hope you agree!)
In the meantime, my three weeks in the greater Los Angeles area inspired me to put together a separate musical anthology with songs referencing anything California-related. Any lyric that included a Cali reference would be the body of my last CD project. Those California related song ideas were assuredly influenced by my trip to see John Mayer at the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. As an intro to one of his songs, John very cleverly sang a verse or two of Led Zeppelin’s "Going To California." The performance was a stellar one to which I will undoubtedly dedicate an article, to be posted in the days to come. I was completely entranced. Until those details get typed, enjoy a Clayton-created mix of California-related tracks, as well as my "Lite, Medium, and Heavy" selections. If you ask really nicely, I might even hit you with a hard copy. Send a "please" and your address to whereisclayton@hotmail.com. Happy listening.
